Applied Technical Solutions
Our scientific staff provides consulting services for the following
areas: statistics, EM field computations, medical imaging
applications, sonar systems, and signal processing. Two projects
which were awarded through the Small Business Initiative Research
Prorgram are listed below.
Visualization of Circuit Card EM Fields
This contract was awarded by the Air Force (contract number
F41608-94-C-1126) to Zwillinger & Associates (the precursor to
Aztec Corporation).
This project explored novel materials (including electrooptical,
magnetooptical, and piezoelectric materials) to visualize circuit
board electromagnetic fields.
Dr. Zwillinger was the principal investigator on this project.
Phase I of this work was completed in 1994.
(Government report number AD-A291 491).
A Phase II continuation contract was awarded to Aztec Corporation:
contract number F41608-96-C-0116. This project prototyped an
end-to-end system for non-contact measurement of the electromagnetic
fields generated by circuit boards. The main research issues were the
system integration of electrooptic field sensors and experimental
determination of the sensor effectiveness.
Dr.~Zwillinger was the principal investigator on this project.
This work was completed in 1998
(Government report number AD-A347 002).
A Luggage Simulation Tool
The Department of Transportation SBIR Phase I contract A Luggage
Simulation Tool was awarded to Zwillinger & Associates: contract
number DTRS-57-93-C-00113.
The work involved the simulation and imaging of packed luggage.
Dr.~Zwillinger was the project manager.
This work was completed in 1994.
In all of these SBIR activities, all of the original technical
objectives were met.
